Eligibility:
- US Citizen
- Graduating Senior
- Admitted to one of the 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Universities (see list in guidance)
- Unweighted GPA 3.0 or better
- Combined Verbal, Math, Writing score of 1500 or higher on the SAT or ACT composite of 21 or higher
- Intend to study agriculture, food, natural resources sciences, or other related disciplines
- Submit a 500-800 word essay describing interest in USDA, how you envision the scholarship will impact you and your future as a public servant, and experiences and perceptions about agriculture, food, and natural resource sciences.
- Demonstrate leadership and community service
- Submit a current official transcript with school seal and authorized signature
