Learn2Earn Summer Program

Learn2Earn is accepting applications for the 2015 Summer Program. The Jesse B. Smith Memorial Scholarship Review Committee is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for deserving and qualified persons residing in Duval County. Scholarships of $1,000.00 are intended for the 2015-2016 academic year and must be used for tuition expenses at any higher education institution located in Duval County offering an undergraduate or graduate degree in urban studies, planning, public administration or a related field. Parisian Spa Institute Senior Scholarship

Parisian Spa Institute is awarding two $2000 scholarships for the program of the students' choice. The student must be an honor roll student who has the passion and desire to pursue a career in Cosmetology and the other scholarship is for Massage therapy. 

Must be recommended by career counselor and one instructor. 
Must write an essay 250 words or more why this training is important to you.

To apply simply have the student have two letters of recommendation from career counselor and or instructors. Show proof of honor roll and must be graduating in May-June. Give Kids A Chance Scholarship

Scholarship Application Forms

In order to apply for the Give Kids A Chance scholarship, the applicant must demonstrate the following criteria:
- Florida resident.
- Have a 2.5 average GPA or above.
- Documented financial need:  eligible students must have a family income of less than 60% of the median family income in the area in which they reside.
- Demonstrate an interest in school and community activitites.
- Two (2) letters of recommendation.
Scholarship applications are available on our website all year.  They must be completed and submitted to GKAC by April 30th of each year.  Decisions will then be made concerning award recipients by May 30th of each year.
Scholarship assistance for underprivileged children.

Construction Career Days Scholarship

Construction Career Days will grant multiple $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school SENIORS who have a genuine interest in the transportation field (engineering, construction management, or technical skills).

There are two different types of scholarships available: the Vocational/Apprenticeship Scholarship and the College Scholarship.

Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Jacksonville Scholarship - Deadline approaching

The Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Jacksonville has established a minimum of one $1,000 scholarship for students to attend Purdue University. The student must meet the following criteria for consideration:

1.      Admitted to Purdue University in any degree-granting program;
2.      Graduate of public or private high school in appropriate counties of Florida and Georgia;
3.      Demonstrated financial need as determined by Purdue (tie breaker);
4.      Acceptable essay on "Why I want to attend Purdue University;"
5.      Acceptable letters of recommendation (3) from an academic counselor, teachers, or community leaders;
6.      Submit letters of recommendation with application and essay to the Club Scholarship Committee;

7.      If no acceptable applications are received from Jacksonville area high school students, then prior recipients desiring renewal will be contacted by the Club and may compete for selection. Undergraduates must possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 to be considered for continuation.

2015 Alfred E. Washington Senior High School Scholarship

The Nu Beta Sigma Alumni chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is currently seeking young men that exemplify the qualities of scholarship that will be honored at our annual NBĪ£ Scholarship Banquet “Turning the Page: Ushering in a New Generation”.
  
The purpose of the Alfred Washington Scholarship is to reward scholastically high achieving male high school seniors with $500.00 scholarships to apply to their college expenses, and recognize him at our Scholarship banquet.  Scholarship is one of the highest ideals of our illustrious organization, and as such it is imperative that we promote this ideal among our high school male youth.

In order for you to apply for this application, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Presently enrolled as a high school senior at a high school located in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA at the time of the application deadline AND at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.
  • Should be a responsible, supportive, self-disciplined, positive, and energetic individual who is interested in the welfare of education and in the community.
  • FINALISTS will be notified to attend the banquet & winner will be announced at the banquet.

The winner must attend the scholarship banquet to receive the award, 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2015 - which will be at the Fire Fighter Hall, located at 618 Stockton St, Jacksonville, FL.
