Southern Scholarship

It is that time of year again and as you may recall from our previous correspondence, the Southern Scholarship Foundation (SSF) provides rent-free scholarship housing for qualified students demonstrating academic achievement (with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA), financial need (as identified on the FAFSA), and good character. With our scholarship, students save $10,000-$12,000 per year in room/board costs!

We are happy to be able to provide this opportunity for students in your area to apply for our rent-free scholarship program. Because our scholarship application is now 100% online we hope the convenience will make it easier for our recruitment efforts. Please share this news with any eligible students you may know or serve through your programs.

We have 27 scholarship houses at six Florida College Campuses (Florida A&M, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida State University, Tallahassee Community College, Santa Fe College, and the University of Florida) and are looking to extend our recruitment efforts. For Fall 2016, we are expecting to award roughly 100-150 spots available among all of our 6 campuses - That’s $1,000,000 to $1,800,000 worth of scholarships available.

We accept applications year-round… however March 1st is our priority deadline for Fall 2016.  The sooner they submit a completed application, the better!  Please help us spread the word to students, department chairs, co-workers, friends, family, etc.!

Our website is also a great source for information: [http://www.southernscholarship.org%3chttp:/www.southernscholarship.org/]www.southernscholarship.org
